Towards What Hurt is a debut collection of poetry by adria moses — writer, somatic practitioner, and founder of the School of Radical Healing.
These poems were written across years of survival: illness, surgery, ancestral reckoning, and the slow, non-linear work of coming home to the body. They move through three chambers: a portal, a wildfire, and a return, and ask the reader to do the same.
This is not a book about arriving. It is a book about the courage it takes to move towards what hurt and find yourself there, whole, waiting.
Written in the tradition of Black healing, somatic wisdom, and radical self-recognition. For anyone who has survived something and is still making their way back.
